"I was breast-feeding my son 13 months, and I plan to do the same with my daughter," she told Allure magazine (via E!). "[Nursing] is addictive. It's hard when the day comes when you have to stop."
Luna is now 6 months old and Bardem and Cruz's other child, Leo, is now 2 years old. She explained that the continued breast-feeding does have an added bonus.
"I'm supposed to get extra calories because (when) breast-feeding you burn, like, an extra 500 a day," she added.
Cruz's parenting skills come from her great memories of her own childhood, saying, "I always knew I wanted a family because of the way I grew up. Family has always been the most important thing."
"In my house every Sunday, everybody was cleaning the house," she explained. "There was always music, and everybody was dancing, sometimes naked around the house. Not hippie, but very free."
The 39-year-old actress will appear on the January issue of Allure and also opens up about her BFF Salma Hayek.

"She's one of my best friends. We call each other huevos," Cruz said (huevos is Spanish for "eggs"). "It was because when we were working together, we didn't have children yet, so we used to sleep much more than now. So it was a way to call each other lazy. We slept in the same bed so many times and it was like she was always trying to wake me up and call me huevos."
Cruz was last seen in The Counselor, and she just signed on for the Spanish film La reina de España. But she has mostly stepped out of the spotlight for now so she can focus on being a mom.
